Updated SDK, SOD, CCA and CPA released

If you are a bit lost reading the title with all the acronyms and wondering if i went nuts you would be kinda disappointed :)

Well, The previous week had quite some interesting updates on the CRM front which i will try to cover in one post.

The CRM 4.0 SDK is updated to v4.0.12The update includes a new addition labeled as Advanced Developer Extensions, The "Advanced Developer Extensions for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, also referred to as Microsoft xRM, is a new set of tools included in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK that simplifies the development of Internet-enabled applications that interact with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. It uses well known ADO.NET technologies. This new toolkit makes it easy for you to build an agile, integrated Web solution!" according to the CRM Team Blog.

On another front, a new Statement of Direction (SOD) is now available on partnersource and customersource. The document outlines the future direction of Microsoft Dynamics CRM through to the next major release and includes updates about both On-Premise and On-Demand Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 accelerator roadmap.

As Promised, The customer care accelerator (CCA) is now available on CodePlex.CCA is "Build out new and powerful composite desktop applications for contact centers or any other business requirement where you need to "mash up" multiple applications from different platforms into one consistent desktop application."

Shortly following the release of the CCA on May 6th. The Customer portal accelerator (CPA) was updated and made available on May 8th. Version 2.0 is available on CodePlex. The major update is the new release is that it consolidates the functionality of Portal Integration, eService and Event Management into one consolidated portal.

Cheers,
